Partnered with the senior leadership team to design 'best in class' and transform the procurement function

Qantas Procurement is a core component of Qantas group operations with circa $11B spend. Lifted the capability and culture of the centralised group procurement team. Delivered an engagement program cutting across all levels of the organisation: from senior leaders increasing visibility of spend and driving strategic sourcing opportunities to category managers co-developing category strategies with each of their teams.

HOW WE HELPED:

  • Conducted a detailed review of processes and practices to assess the ‘Current way of operating’. This included interviews with key stakeholders then involvement in working sessions to benchmark the current capability against CIPs.
  • Collaboration with the CPO and senior leadership team to re-envisage the ‘Future State’ model, develop a transformation roadmap and implement a change program to adopt the procurement changes.
  • Developed the engagement program across all levels of the organisation: from senior leaders having visibility of spend and driving strategic sourcing opportunities to category managers co-developing category strategies with each of their teams and business partners.
    Introduced innovative initiatives like category council’s, company-wide familiarisation programs and the procurement pulse patrol - group procurement champions.
