As the Director of the International Federation of the Ageing (IFA), and the Co-chair ‘Human Rights as We Age’ Network, Sue champions the rights and well-being of older adults globally. Sue’s passion for empowering elderly individuals is matched by her commitment to driving systemic change and reform, ensuring that elderly voices are heard and rights upheld. She draws on her diverse career in aged care; in residential care, rehabilitation, government, and advocacy as CEO of COTA Victoria for 15 years.

As the Senior Research Fellow, at ARIIA (Aged Care Research, Industry and Innovation Australia), and with UTS’ Ageing Research Collaborative, Rebecca translates research into sustainable, real-world solutions that bring positive change for older Australians. Drawing on her leadership experience with a major provider, she is able to collaborate with providers to co-design innovative solutions that address critical sector needs - through research, ARIIA’s incubators, grants, programs, events, and Knowledge and Implementation Hub.
