University of Canberra – Designing a Collaborative Cross-Sector Partnership
The University of Canberra (UC) is expanding its Health and Wellbeing Precinct on its campus. The aim is to integrate healthcare service provision for the local Canberra community with research, innovation, and workforce training.
To achieve this, UC recognised the need for an enduring collaborative partnership model. Without clear arrangements and early stakeholder alignment, there was a risk of misaligned expectations, weakened relationships, and missed opportunities.
HOW WE HELPED
- Fire up™ facilitated a structured process to design UC’s collaborative partnership, including stakeholder interviews to surface opportunities, concerns, and gaps.
- Alignment with UC’s Health and Wellbeing Neighbour strategy and past EOIs.
- Facilitating a Collaborative Partnership Workshop to:
- Align the vision and outcomes for the new site.
- Shape UC’s value proposition and partner criteria.
- Explore leading collaboration models
- Co-develop guiding principles to sustain the partnership. Producing a Partnering Report to guide the way forward, capturing the agreed vision, value proposition, model, and next step
OUTCOMES
- A unified vision and value proposition for the Health, and other stakeholders.
- UC positioned as a partner of choice, ready to attract organisations aligned with its strategy.
